Okay, okay... it seems hopelessly square to say so but, this show was awesome. The tickets were free, the seat were decent, their band was good and both Simon and Garfunkel still can sing well. And sing well together. They played every song you would expect them to play, relying pretty heavily on the Bridge Over Troubled Waters album (incl. the gorgeous "Only Living Boy In New York"). The only dull moment was "Slip Sliding Away" - it went on a bit too long.

And jeez, were there some geezers there! I mean those people in the audience were old! Over the hill even. Yeah, mostly um, around my age...

I highly recommend this show (if you don't have to pay the ridiculous ticket price, that is).

Oh and just so I don't seem like too much of an old timer, I also saw My Morning Jacket last week. Have I regained my "hip" status?
