My most embarrassing moment will have to wait for later (although it seems that everybody heard it), but I do have one other on/off-air experience that sticks out in my mind.
I was doing a show at night (but I don't think it was after midnight), and I heard some ruckus in the hallway. I went out to find a bunch of football player-sized guys stealing the furniture out of the coke room. I yelled at them to stop, but then I got scared and ran back to the control room and locked the door. I called the campus police, but there was no answer, and after about 15 rings, I had to hang up to do a break. I quickly back-announced and then said something to the effect of "If there is a campus policeman listening, could you please come to KLSU in the East Stadium? There are a bunch of guys stealing our stuff." When I got back into the music, I called campus police again and finally got somebody. Forty minutes later, an officer shows up!
Now, some of you might remember that the campus police station was right next to the arena - about 100 yards from KLSU! A retarded monkey could've run there in 15 seconds! The officer patronized me, I bitched at him for being so slow, he bitched at me for not locking the station doors, and we never saw that ratty blue-flowered sofa and shitty chairs again.

(My apologies if I offended any retarded monkeys.)
