I 'member one night Alan and myself went into to record a promo for some show or something like that, of course there was drink involved, we wanted to have breaking glass sounds (there was no sound effects library back then) well I had the bright idea to smash two beer bottles together and tape the results.

Probably went something like this:

S:"wow this is going to be cool... okay? ... ready?"
A: "tape rolling"

glass crashing....
S:"fuck...."

A: "what"
S: "I think I hurt myself". nice cut across the index finger (still have a scar)
A: "Dumb Ass"

Was not to bad, nothing a trip to the bayou could not fix... but felt like a dumbass.

One fine morning, long ago and far away, I was doing the 6-10am show, and David Swiger strolled in to do the 6:00 news. A billboard for the campus news coming up, but first, the international news:

Swiger: "at a press conference last night in Israel, Prime Minister Shityak Yamir told the press..."

(realization of what he had said spread across his face along with a look of horror...)

Swiger: "I mean Yit-Shit ... excuse me ... Yit-Yat ... oh SHIT! ... YIT-SAK SHAMIR said...."

I was far too busy blowing Tab out of my nose and all over the control board to even turn the mic off.
