The Neville Brothers (finally back), Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, Jimmy Buffett, Tim McGraw, Santana, Maze feat. Frankie Beverly, Sheryl Crow, Widespread Panic, Dr. John, Al Green, Diana Krall, Keyshia Cole, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, The Raconteurs, Irma Thomas, Randy Newman, Tower of Power (think it was Dr. Jazz in the early 80's who pointed out they were a great way to start your morning), Elvis Costello and Allen Toussaint, Richard Thompson, et al.......

Think this might be another "I gotta go every day" year for me.

Oh wow! Sounds great! I hope WWOZ hires me again for the 'Fest. I get paid to go everyday and see great music (and occasionally have to work, lol)

Geez, Jenni, now you're just rubbing it in.

When I was a Broadcast Journalism major at LSU my main prof said I'd never get a decent job in the industry -- so I changed my major to poetry (OK you people, shut up. Really. Shut up. I have a real job working with computers, so quit your giggling.).

And then I hear you talking about seeing the 'Fest on someone else's dime, and doing cool field recordings and productions and stuff. I'm jealous.

You majored in poetry?? I never knew that! LOL It's not fair that you've now told me... now that you live too far away for me to tease you. LOL ;)

LIke you, my degree ended up not being in Broadcast Journalism either... it's in Communications (with an emphasis on TV and Film, couldn't choose, lol). But where did I end up? Radio! The beast kept pulling me back in! LOL I'm not going to complain, though. My job(s) are fun, and I meet and work with some amazing people.

(So I guess it's not a good time to tell you that I'm recording Kronos Qt. next week? LOL)
