OK, I've always been a geek. Since I was 2 at least. Anyways, I was at this very cool choral festival this weekend, uh last weekend, in St. Francisville. Among the groups who played: Rajaton from Finland. Wow, amazing. Acapella, fun, excellent. But, the coolest was Linda Tillery and the Cultural Heritage Choir from Oakland. They do a variety of things from spirituals to African folk song kinda stuff to originals. Five women, each playing different percussion and singing acapella. They really rocked, really! I'm trying to help Linda and her group get into Jazz Fest. Any help? Cheers, y'all, Les |
