Soon you won't need one. iTunes 4.8 will support podcasts. |

KLSU-ex Bill Davis has a few podcast shows here: http://www.freewebtown.com/dashpodcast/ Anyone else in the music biz have one? Meredith? Greg Ellis? Cathy Hendrix? |

Actually, you don't need an iPod to listen to a podcast. You just download the podcast and listen with iTunes or Windows media player. If you wish to subscribe to a podcast series, you'll need iPodder (until the next version of iTunes comes out) |

I still want an iPod, though. What a great place to store the music collection (I'll need the 60 GB model though). Jenni and I just got a Mac mini, but haven't been able to use it yet because of monitor issues (hopefully will be fixed by tomorrow). Thanks for the heads-up on iTunes 4.8! Norm - thanks for the info on the Podcasts, great to hear from you too! How's Austin? -barry |

I don't have any podcasts... maybe because I don't have any original material and I think I can't podcast songs without paying royalties? I really don't understand the whole deal. I should, but I don't. Maybe one day Bill Davis can explain it all to me! However, I'm so in love with my iPod, I can barely stand it. I have it in my car, currently listening to songs in alphabetical order. My mother gave it to me and she didn't really understand that there were different sizes so I have the one that holds approx 2500 songs. I have 2387 songs - from Gilbert and Sullivan to Gilbert O'Sullivan, Johnny Cash to Johnny Polonsky, Grand Funk to Grandaddy, John Prine to Jon Brion, The Cars to Death Cab for Cutie,The Jackson Five to The Sleepy Jackson... I could go on but I'm sure you get the picture. Getting the iPod got me reacquainted with my cd collection. I have nothing on there that I've downloaded from iTunes - just all stuff I already had but had stopped listening to. I highly recommend an iPod to any music lover. It's worth the splurge. |

I bet you could put toagether a podcast made of talk and music from the people you work with. Give Bill's podcast a listen if you haven't already. It's talk mixed with him playing his songs. |

Okay, I typed in Todd Rundgren, imagine that. I'm listening to "DOn't you ever learn" on Pandora. How real it is. |

As an ipod update, my mom gave us an ipod mini for Christmas (one for Logan, one for me and Barry). We just love it, and it's so nice not to have to fool with CDs or tapes on a trip. Only problem is battling for song space. LOL So for Christmas and birthday, I'm giving Barry $$ twords his own ipod with beaucoup memory. Then he can carry around the entire Beatles, Stereolab, and The Who catalogs, plus his Nurse with Wound, etc. and I can have my Lily Allen, Art Brut, and Arctic Monkeys without him complaining. Yay! (Word to the wise... nobody should share an ipod. lol) -Jenni |

After I left Baton Rouge, my show continued to live as podcasts (and broadcasts on the local radio in Utah). http://www.LittleLighthouse.net/ |
