I remember having to come in and tell Zia sometimes that we had a live baseball broadcast that would preempt his show...he loved it when that happened and no one told him.

Does Zia still syndicate his show to California?

Zia used to tape his show and send it to San Diego to a station out there...from what I remember.

We stream taped shows of "Dinner Jazz" Sunday nights at 6pm. He records them on minidisk at WBRH then I pick them up at his office and bring them back to KSLU in Hammond.

We were going to simulcast his show, but the folks at WBRH were rather uncooperative.

YEA(!) for Zia!! The dude was/is always the best. The same can't be said for the writer of the article, though. That is some of the worst journalistic writing that I have ever seen!

Anyhoo, it's great to see Zia get some recognition!
