"Everyone's trying to get to the bar ... the name of the bar ... the bar is called Heaven..." Sad that we have to do this, but we really should start a place to post the passage of our fellow DJs and music-kin. Patty Owens, murdered for her purse back in the early '80s in New Orleans. No female ever had a more luscious radio voice, nor blue-er eyes. Still miss ya, sistah ... sure wish we could have had that apartment together that we dreamed of. Think of you every time I play David Bowie. Drew Martin, deejay and True Southern Gentleman. Lost to leukemia. What a rich, wonderful baritone voice. What a deeply kind soul. Miss you intensely. Wherever you are now, may there be an endless array of Hawaiian shirts for you to wear. The people I miss ... I miss their voices most. Dez |
