I was wondering if any of you family members would be at all interested in planning a get together on any size basis for an informal hootenany get together/mixer? It would be quite pleasant to see some familiar faces in first person. What do you blokes think? Is it too warm, fuzzy, or sentimental?

Why not? I'm close. I drift through B.R. pretty often, though alot of the time I'm just headed to/from N.O. I almost got to see Adele Thurs. night at one of her Big Top shindigs, but we left before she got there. Other than that, I see Lyle -- and it's been a while since I've seen Meredith. I say let's do it -- in B.R. or N.O. -- someplace that has good food and cocktails.

Good.
I am pleased that this idea has been received favorably by a few of us. I agree with Ms. Tiff that the site must have great consumables, mass quantities of refined grain alcohol, and a slide that has been waxed. Hopefully others will respond to this idea with suggestions of their own. Tiff, when in town do call, no need to be a shy tuna.

Why not plan something at Spanish Moon?

For you out-of-towners -- 1109 HIghland Road, old Art Bar/Cypress Hollow.

The bathrooms are clean, and we could arrange for the upstairs bar (with two pool tables) to be all ours.

With our own bartender.

We don't run the place anymore, but we still own the building and have some considerable pull.

Dez and Dave

Warm fuzzy sentimental? Who ya kidding? Shit... no. It's not sentimental!

OK, I feel better now. :D Pick a place, any place. Adele's space is great, and I don't know who made the salmon they were serving at her last party, but it was divine. The drinkies were pretty tasty, too. 8)
