Scott - Be sure to check your mailbox (scott@klsualumni.net). I just mailed you a couple yearbook pics that I just scanned, and Jenni gave me a bunch from her KLSU scrapbook that I'm sending your way in the next hour or two. Jenni has the original KLSU staff photo print from 1987, it's scanning much MUCH better than the dark one in the yearbook. I don't know which time frame you're most interested in as far as anything else goes, but the ones from Jenni's scrapbook are mostly 1985-88. Some of those are newspaper pics, and I saw a couple pictures of Drew Martin in there that I'm sure everyone would be glad to see. If you need me to store these in my webspace just let me know. I've still got about a hundred megs free... -barry |

Absolutely! Like I said, I have 200 megs and I'm only using half of it right now. If you design the montage pages, I can store them and link people over to 'em. Piece o' cake. -b |

The place looks completely different now. It's totally renovated, very few cds and even fewer records stacked (playlist is straight out of computer), all equpment is new, the studio is now on the opposite row of the hall. As far as I can tell, only the turntables are the same. |

The pics that Scott posted were from the old studios in the East Stadium. KLSU moved to Hodges Hall (the whole south wing) in 1988. Much of the people on this board left KLSU around the same time. -Jenni |

Scott: thanks for posting pics. I am glad to see Bill Mallory in the 1985 one. I wonder if he is the only fatality. I am sure I have some pics from the 1980-83 era |

Post subject: | Found an old KLSU picture online |
This was a weird surprise, and I can't remember exactly how I came across it: http://www.e-yearbook.com/yearbooks/Louisiana_State_University_Gumbo_Yearbook/1988/Page_290.html Apparently, this site has old college yearbooks online - and they charge for access. (you won't be charged for clicking on the above link, naturally) This was the 1987 staff photo along with the yearbook comments, which they obviously scanned in and OCR'ed... judging by all the errors. |
