Though Scott, since you don't know me, you might not be interested in my ramblings...

I did go to New Orleans to The Parish to see my management client Ron Sexsmith (shameless plug: new album "Retriever" - 3 1/2 stars from Rolling Stone!). Anyway, right across the street is the Louisiana Music Factory, run by Barry Smith. He did not work at KLSU but he did go to LSU and he was a great fan of local music. If y'all have never been to his store, you should definitely check it out!

i saw ron's show here in houston. i've seen him 5 or 6 times--this was the best time ever.

what a great band he had! this new record is not my favorite (that would be either #2 or #4) but he was absolutely great.

please make him into the superstar he deserves to be!

Oh cool! I've heard the Houston show was good - someone posted on Ron's message board and he's gotten some fan emails. Glad to hear you enjoyed it.

I agree that he does need to be a superstar - and we're working on that. On Monday, I took him in to CNN to tape a segment for The Music Room and now they've asked him to go to CNNfn to tape something for a feature on the entertainment industry. He's not for everyone but I do believe that once people get a chance to hear him, they tend to like him. But radio in the US has never been very strong.

And by the way, my personal fave release is #2, Other Songs, but I love them all. I was a fan first and after the three shows I just saw (New Orleans, Nashville, Atlanta), I still am.
