This is in response to the email sent out today prompting members who wish to remain on this list to post something. So hello again!

Wasn't trying to freak anyone out, hope that is not how it came off. I should have chosen my words better, of course some of you that know me ... well...

Everyday I delete at least 10 "bogus" accounts, manually one at a time (about a miniute per), I know it does't take to long, but I started thinking about it... 10 a day= 10 minutes x 7 = 1 Hour, 10 minutes a week x 52... well you get my drift. I would have that time to do other things, like posting or actually listening to music.

A deletion based on post count could be done with a few key strokes. I am even thinking of a script to handle it.

So I am a geek, it's official.

Usually it is "people" hawking tramidol, pheno Phed-a -something or another, or porn, hidden in their profiles. A few brazen types even post their crap in posts, but I do read every post and try to weed those out from the forum. And don't get me started about bots trying to harvest emails.

Hence, why I asked members to turn off the visible email function in their profiles. Private messaging is available, so contacting other members is still possible, those persons can then decide to exchange email address on their own, or use the private message function, either way , fine with me.

Keep the posts coming. Most of the "real" members I know by username, so don't worry, it will never like a 5 post min... or no soup for you.

Thanks to everyone here,

Scott

The people you are taking off are the exact same ones I'm taking of Ron Sexsmith and John Wesley Harding boards - at least with the two of them, sometimes I can ban a baddie from one board before they even sign on to the other. Still, time consuming. And with Sexsmith, you can imagine the junk we get.

So, I feel your pain.

Oh yeah, and please keep me on. Thanks.
