hello everyone, this is really exciting to find this forum. and i will soon be considered a klsu alumna (is that correct? singular female). i am currently station manager and have about a month or so more before i am finished and must venture into the outside world to find a real job. i'm a bit frightened, i must admit. klsu is the only job i've had in college. i've been assistant music director for one year, music director for one year, and station manager for one semester. i'll graduate in december 2005.

am i the youngest one here? 21!

anyway, good to meet you all and i'm so proud to be a part of this group.

Hiya, Carly! And, yes - you are the youngest one here. :) Ahhh, 21. Well, I am 41... going on 14 though! I can remember way back when I was 21 though, seems like last week.

I have managed to listen to KLSU several times in the past year, and I want to congratulate you - the station sounds great! I was so happy to hear that much of the "canned" sound that had infected KLSU in the mid-1990's was gone, and that the station had recaptured much of its raw charm that it had when the majority of us worked there in the 1970's - 1980's.

Keep up the great work, and don't worry about going out into the real world... yet. You've still got a month or so! ;)

-barry

Carly - welcome to the board. I was in town visiting the last few days (drove back Tuesday afternoon) and the station sounded pretty good... unlike the 90's failure (sorry throwing stones)

Also see that the site has been updated, and after digging around found the links to here in old fart history section http://www.klsu.fm/aboutus2.html?. Cool... hopefully we can get some more alum's to visit.

Best of luck after you graduate... and keep us updated.
